EDM are one of a select 2 or 3 companies in the World who manufacture simulated ejection seats that are used in a variety of ilitary applications. The applications range from maintenance technician training to highly complex fighter pilot training using Full Mission Simultors (FMS) such as the Eurofighter Typhoon ASTA (aircrew Simulated Training Aids). EDM manufacture the simulated seats under an arrangement with Martin Baker who are the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for the actual ejection seats that are fitted in fighter aircraft such as Eurofighter Typhoon, Hawk, M346 and F35 Lightning II.
